Christine King, President and CEO, SMSC (Standard Microsystems)
Christine King joined SMSC in 2008 in the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Ms. King served as CEO of AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) for six years prior to the company’s merger with ON Semiconductor Corporation. Earlier, Christine King served as Vice President of Semiconductor Products for IBM Microelectronics and Vice President of the Networking Technology Business Unit. Ms. King also served as Vice President of Marketing and Field Engineering and Manager of ASIC Products at IBM earlier in her tenure with the company. She serves on the boards of Atheros Communications, Inc., Open-Silicon, Inc. and Idaho Power Company. Ms. King earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Debi Coleman, Managing Partner, SmartForest Ventures
Debi Coleman, Managing Partner of SmartForest Ventures, is one of the most recognized female executives in technology management. Debi stepped down as Chairman of the Board of Merix Corp. (NASDAQ: MERX) in September 2001, having served as Chair since October 1999, and serving as both CEO/Chair since its spin-out from Tektronix, Inc. in March 1994 (IPO: May 1994). Prior to that, she was Vice President Materials/Operations for Tektronix. She is perhaps best known for her career achievements with Apple Computer, Inc. where she held the positions of Vice President of Operations, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President Information Systems and Technology.
Ms. Coleman serves as an advisor to three venture funds: PacRim Venture Partners (CA); Utah Ventures; and Alexander Hutton Ventures (Seattle). She has been an active angel investor since 1995 and is a founding member of the Portland Angel Network.
Ms. Coleman graduated from Brown University with a BA in English Literature in 1974 and received her MBA from Stanford University in 1978. She also received an honorary Ph.D in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1987. Debi was named a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute in 1997.
Ms. Coleman devotes time and energy to several organizations including the Anita Borg Institute (http://anitaborg.org/about/who-we-are/debi-coleman/ ) and International Women’s Forum. She currently serves on the boards of Applied Materials Inc.; Synopsys, Inc.; Kryptiq; Neopad; Teseda; Phoseon and Concero.
Dr. Limor Fix, Senior Principal Engineer and Director of Academic Programs and Research, Intel
Currently Limor is Director of Academic Programs and Research (APR) reporting to the Vice President and GM of Intel Labs and Intel Chief Technology Officer. APR is the primary university-facing division of Intel Labs. Its mission is to support high-quality academic research of long-term interest and benefit to Intel well as supporting undergraduate and graduate educational initiatives at top schools throughout the United States.
Limor is also an Intel Senior Principal Engineer and has a PhD in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel,1992. After graduation, Limor conducted post-doc research in Cornell University and in 1994 she joined Intel in Israel. For 10 years Limor led a major change in Intel’s validation technology and methodology. She developed innovative formal verification tools and methodology that have been widely adopted by Intel’s design teams.
Limor has published more than 30 papers, and she was invited to many technical program committees of leading international conferences. In the last seven years, Limor served on the executive committee of the Design Automation Conference (DAC), the leading conference for design tools with 10,000 participants and 250 companies demo suites. In 2008, Limor served as the general chair of DAC.
Limor’s research interests include formal specification languages, BDD’s, SAT solvers, and model checking of both hardware and distributed software. Limor has led the research and development of Intel’s three generations of advanced formal verification systems.

This Pavilion Panel includes the presentation of the 12th annual Marie R. Pistilli Women in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Achievement Award to Dr. Limor Fix of Intel. The award honors leadership, and personal and professional contributions to women in the industry. An interview by Peggy Aycinena of EDA Confidential, San Mateo, CA, will follow.
